Booking
Send us an email with the dates and the name of the boat that you would like to rent, and we will, after checking availability, confirm your booking.
Arrival
Check in time is 14 hours. Upon arrival, your host will be waiting for you to give you the keys (you need to pay 50 euro key deposit that will be returned to you when you leave) and explain how everything works. You will get clean sheets and towels, you do not need bringing them with you. If the boat is available and you are arriving earlier, check in time can be proponed. You can always leave your bags while waiting to check in.
Neighbors
There is always someone living on our boats, so you will have 'real' neighbors and people around you to connect with. Especially during hot summer nights, while enjoying a cold bear when the sun goes down, contact is easily made with neighbors who are doing the same on their decks around you. But, if you prefer to sit on deck in silence, this is not a problem, as 'boat people' really respect each others privacy. Please respect theirs too.
Environment
As we are very concerned about the environment, we friendly ask you not to waist electricity nor water. Please switch off the heating/fans/lights when you leave the boat. We want you to be comfortable; there are enough blankets, heaters and fans, but turning up the heaters above 22 degrees is not acceptable and will be charged extra.
Cleaning
As you will be living in our homes, and not in a hotel, we expect that upon departure you will leave the place as clean and tidy as you found it upon arrival. We expect you to wash your dishes, take the sheets off and throw the garbage away and vacuum clean the place. If you do not feel like cleaning during your stay, that's ok!
But do let us know the evening before you leave to book a cleaning lady, who in this case, has to be paid by you (ca 10 euro p/hour) for the extra work.
Problems and wishes
We love to have people on our boats who enjoy their stay fully. If something is not working or you have any complaints, pls contact your host or send us an email and we will do everything possible to solve the problem immediately. Do not wait till you are already gone, as most things can be realized or changed the way you like it, during your stay.
Payment
You have to pay the total sum CASH to your host upon arrival. Your credit card is a guarantee and will only be charged in case of 'no show'. The key deposit of 50 euro will be returned to you upon departure.
Departure
In principle you have to leave the boat before noon. If you need to stay longer because of a late flight, please discuss your departure with your host. If no one else is arriving the same day, you can stay longer.
You can always leave your bags until departure.
