The SUNSET houseboat is a river boat. It used to transport goods. In the old days, the shipper and his wife slept in the back of the boat in a very small space together with their children. The former owner of this houseboat, was a shipper too. One day his two children, a boy and a girl, didn't want to sleep in one bedroom anymore; they wanted go to a 'normal' school and stop moving around. So, he bought this houseboat, took the motor out, replaced the old roof, and built with his own hands bedrooms for each of his children to sleep in separately.
While he would transport goods with his original boat, he would leave this boat with his children living on it, in Amsterdam. Later, the children decided that they didn't want to share a bathroom and a kitchen anymore; they wanted to live separately and form their own families… So, the shipper bought two new boats for each of his children… and sold this one to us.
